The USA Investment Plattform

The USA Conference 2022 brought together nearly 90 participants from Germany, Europe and the USA. Among them were institutional investors, managers and consultants. In 20 presentations and discussion panels, investment opportunities in the USA were presented and different investment strategies of investors were discussed.

Michael Acton, CFA

Managing Director

Mike is Head of Research with responsibility for directing the activities of the firm’s in-house research group. He works closely with the Fund’s investment management team in the development of the Fund’s investment strategy and criteria. He joined AEW in 1990 and has 37 years of experience as an economic analyst. He is a standing member of the firm’s Investment & Risk Management Committees.

Sara Cassidy

Managing Director, Head of Portfolio Management

Sara is responsible for the oversight of all portfolio management activities. She is also a Senior PM for the firm’s open-end core fund, AEW Core Property U.S., where she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Fund’s investments and operations. She is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, co-chairs the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and a member of AEW’s Talent Committee.

Robert Chagares

Mr. Chagares is a co-founder of High Street and serves as its CEO, with responsibility for the overall management of the company, its funds, capital strategy, and development and investment activities. Hubert Eisenack is a tax partner at EY Munich and leads EY Germany’s US real estate tax team. Hubert is specialized in advising German institutional investors on US real estate investments, from both a US as well as a German tax perspective. Richard Flohr

Richard Flohr is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of CrossHarbor’s Strategic Debt Funds. In this role he oversees operations and serves as a member of the Fund’s IC.  Prior to joining CrossHarbor, Richard was a MD with the Prudential Mortgage Capital Company where he worked for 28 years, serving as a member of PMCC’s Senior Management Group and as Head of Capital Markets and CMBS.

Dr. Sebastian Gläsner

Executive Director

Sebastian works as ED for MSCI Real Assets and Geschäftsführer of IPD Investment Property Databank GmbH. He is responsible for the real estate consultant team in the DACH markets. He started at MSCI / IPD in 2008 and has been in various roles from research to sales. Sebastian studied at European Business School and University of Technology Sydney and holds a doctorate from European Business School.

Symon H. Godl is Group Asset Management Officer at Deutsche Finance Group. The real estate economist has been with the investment company since 2010. Prior to that, he worked in real estate investment banking and asset management for banks and an industrial group.

Mr. Rosen received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. with highest honors from the University of Connecticut.
